TaylorMade R11 Driver

If you are looking for a new driver this year, the TaylorMade R11 driver will get your attention fast.   The stark white crown and black face of the driver really get noticed.  TaylorMade is continuing their progression in the "R Series" drivers and the R11 is by far the best one yet.  We were able to hit the R11 driver last week in our stores and pretty much every employee was blown away.  The sheer amount of customization options on this driver is incredible.

You can change the loft, face angle, and flight path of the club with 3 easy adjustments.  I changed the driver from neutral to a slight draw in about 20 seconds...very easy to use.  The white finish is actually very cool looking, especially if you put it down right next to a driver with a traditional black crown.

The TaylorMade R11 Driver is available in early February and we are taking pre-orders for this driver in-store and online.

Has anyone had a chance to see this driver in person yet?  It will be a game-changer!

Ecco Street Premiere Golf Shoes 2011

As most golfers know, the Ecco Street Premiere Golf Shoes are one of the most popular and hard to find shoes in 2010.  Ecco is planning on continuing the Street Premiere shoe line for 2011.  We just saw the new 2011 Street Premiere shoe line and I am very impressed to say the least.  Ecco will be introducing 3 new colors in the Street Premiere line along with another Street Premiere shoe with Camel leather.  This Camel leather Street is a more supple leather and feels great.  Look for these new Camel Street Premiere shoes around holiday season...

We just received the new Ecco Street Premiere in the Moonless/Marine Blue color.  It's a very nice looking dark blue color.  I'm sure they won't last long...sizes 41 - 46 in stock now!

Ping Tour S Wedges

The new Ping Tour S Wedges are creating quite a buzz on tour and around town.  After seeing the wedge itself, I have to say I was impressed.  The first thing that catches your eye is the classic design and beautiful finishes...especially the Rustique finish (my favorite).  The Ping Tour S Wedges feature machined face and conforming grooves that allow players to manage spin from all conditions and a re-shaped sole geometry allows for versatility in your shot making.  The wedge is made from 17-4 stainless steel and is available in 2 finishes...Brushed Silver & Rustique Multiple loft/bounce combinations are available, ensuring you have options in improving your short game and can hit the ball close from all conditions.

The Ping Tour S Wedges will be available mid-September 2010 but are available for pre-order today!

Ping Womens Faith Driver

Women looking for a new easy-to-hit driver need to check out the new Ping Faith Driver.  The Ping Faith Driver is designed to meet the specific needs of women golfers and and is offered in 2 lofts (12º & 14º).  The larger 460 cc clubhead of the the Faith driver along with the new internal weighting system allows women golfers to hit longer and straighter drives more consistently.  The Faith Series Drivers come standard with a premium ultra-lightweight graphite shaft to help increase club head speed and overall distance.

After seeing the Faith driver in person about 3 weeks ago, I think that Ping did a remarkable job with this club.  The head is the perfect shape and the color scheme is feminine but subtle and not too over the rop.  After watching a few women try this club, I know why Ping says it's the most forgiving ladies driver they've ever made...very straight!

The Ping Faith driver is part of a new Faith series of woods, irons, and putters from Ping in the fall.  We will examine the rest of the clubs in the next week or so.

The Ping Faith Driver is shipping in late August and will sell for $249.99.

Ping K15 Driver

Having trouble hitting your driver straight this year or looking for more accuracy off the tee?

If your answer is yes, like most of us, you may want to take a look at the new Ping K15 Driver.  The Ping K15 Driver helps the average golfer hit the ball straighter with Ping's patented Straight Fit Technology.  This visible technology places approximately 10% of head mass in the heel, which helps square the face for consistently straight tee shots.  The K15 driver also features a larger profile 460 cc head and an ultra-thin titanium face for maximum distance.  The stock shaft is the ultra popular Ping TFC 149 graphite shaft.

Overall the Pink K15 driver looks and performs great.  The traditional setup creates confidence at address while the superior technology really helps generate consistent tee shots.

Check out the new Ping K15 Driver at Carl's Golfland...release date is late August 2010.

As we get closer to the end of the summer, we are starting to see some new products that are available now and some later this year.  One of the most anticipated annual releases is the new FootJoy Golf Shoe line.

At Carl's Golfland, we were enough to see this entire line a couple weeks ago and it looks wonderful.  Some new styles for men and women and really great color combinations too.

TaylorMade Ghost Putter

The response from the release of the TaylorMade Rossa Ghost Putter has been amazing.  The Ghost putter debuted in our stores in early June and what a month it has been.

If you've never seen the Ghost before...don't be afraid!  First of all, the putter it almost complTAYGHOST_175etely white.  This white color contrasts very nicely against the green to make it easier to see the topline and alignment aids of the putter.  The 3 black alignment lines of the Ghost putter make it very simple to aim and drain more putts.

We've found that the stark contrast of the white color along with the mallet design make the Ghost putter a very nice addition to the TaylorMade putter line for 2010.

Take home one for yourself today in 33" - 35"...right and left handed available.
